Not really (although I do get some soreness the day after I play alot of it). Just make sure you've worked on your flexibility before you try it, and your joints and muscles should be able to handle at least small session of rubber guard without a problem. Check out that 'Eddie Bravo Rubber Guard' video thread and give it a shot, it's a fun and useful guard to know.
