are you just starting out? if so most muscles in your legs are going to hurt for a little while
dynamic stretching is the best plan. try using some stairs to do calf extensions on, just stretch for a second or 2 at the bottom of each rep, do enough till your calves feel warmed up. Cold muscles cramp easy
