Hmmm #thinking# I king of see a purpose of doing this isolation type drills to sharpen up your tools... But I definitively see the point that Vilo makes about stringing punches together and weigh transfer...
Main thing is that the cross isnt really covered in this workout. I know two whole rounds are dedicated to lead crosses but the more orthodox cross that follows the jab is all about generating power from the jab and maintaining it into the cross... Spontanious thougth is that there should atleast be an 1-2 round to... (to follow the goal of isolation..) Or am I missing something here...? Opinions?

Having done both this and what Vilo is talking about, the way I looked at it was this old routine was good for making sure each punch is executed with decent form. When doing the stringing together of punches when a person doesn't know how to punch properly or doesn't have good form seems kind of useless to me.
That being said, when a person punches correctly of course something like this would become obsolete aside from knowing they could throw a single punch for an entire round consistently, but I'm pretty sure many guys starting out trying to improve their punch form, speed, power, etc. aren't to that level yet.
