Yes, but the carbs are limited. You have to look at the load, not just the index.

The insulin response increases uptake of protein and the other macros, but unless the body has been taxed, that uptake is more likely to be converted into fat (as opposed to muscle) than it normally would. The author is correct, rice oligodextrin would probably be preferred (for any MRP, not just Muscle Milk), but one thing to keep in mind is that almost none of the MRP's out there have rice oligodextrin in them, especially those made by the major brands. Actually, one of the only ones that does is Biotest with its new ****bolic Drive Complete formula.

You could create your own mix. My "dream" MRP still doens't exist, but really, it's nitpicking. Maybe something like this:
30% Rice Oligodextrin
45% Milk Protein Isolate
25% MCT's

But the straight MCT powder from the custom sites costs like $18/lb, so this is too expensive to be practical.


P.S. That blog was top-notch, Bester. Obviously there's a battle ahead over glycocyamine, but for now, it's nice to see a cooler head prevailing.
