If you've done 4 minutes of Tabata training, then you know how intense it is. If you're conditioned enough, the try stacking Tabata intervals. You could also change up the work/rest intervals to simulate 5 minute MMA rounds, and do THREE stacked 5 minute Tabata rounds with 1 minute of rest. If you were so insanely inclined.

Obviously, like Sonny said, a mix it best. Personally, I do HIIT bag work, Tabatas (rarely), sprints, and the occasional 5km run (rarely)
