Your thoughts on Crappy Contract deals???
First and foremost, I think crappy contracts is what prevents most excellent MMA fights from ever occuring. I feel If you have a 5 year contract lets say with the UFC, either a. you're with them for 5 years or have 20 fights or something.... minimum, you should be free to fight where ever you want! as long as you honor your original contract... but too many times contracts are not like that. If Pride asked Tim Slyvia to fight Fedor and he had to decline because the UFC said "no no" there is something wrong with that. The UFC should have ZERO say in the matter as long as Tim honor's his UFC obligations.. (i.e. you fight on such and such a date,) I know most fighters have busy schedules so it would be hard to pencil in a 3rd party fight outside of their original contract... BUT, If price the was right, If Pride was to offer Tim something like 1 million to fight Fedor(I know for a fact Tim vs Fedor would fill seats! at home and at the arena!)... lol, I would of pushed everything aside to fight him, even if i did lose. There will be no belt on the line, the only thing on the line is, "who is the better Heavyweight Champion" Or maybe they can use the term, "undisputed heavyweight champion" a little more appropriately. Your thoughts???
