Let me see if I understand your point here.
The questioner asked about the information in a BBC report. The answer was "I am saying that it is false". The questioner asks for verification of this opinion. What's wrong with asking him to back up his claim that the BBC story was wrong? Why do you think that's funny, all he did was ask for something more than a categorical denial of a mainstream news story.
Jesus, you guys sure are selective with your debating rules. If the situation was reversed your opinion would be reversed too.
