I personally, don't like the change. To me the very essence of what made MMA unique is being slowly sucked away. Too much commercialism is becomming involved in the sport...it's becomming a bunch of garbage.
As one of the rare female fans that enjoy "Bloodsports," and actually knows what people are talking about when they say "tapped," "submission," "Half-Nelson," "Arm Bar," etc...I have to say it just galls the crap outta me to see some of the commercials they show. If the loss of the good fighters is about not having enough money to pay them or commercialism, then maybe they need better advertising agency because the UFC makes it's money from the commercials shown during it's airtime. Do Dana and the UFC really think that I am gonna rush out and buy a product that is being pushed by some skank in a teeny weeny outfit, slinking herself up & down a chair? Hell no I'm not!
I'll tell you what, if it's a matter of needing money to get the better fighters, here is what they should do:
It's a fact that females control 80% of all US households income, one would think that he would want to get our interest and more importantly, our money. The NFL has finally wised up and done it with thier commercials and they are seeing record profits. Dana, if you wanna make money, remove the slutty women from the tv commercials! I'm not saying put fat chicks in the commercials but if you want to move products, like Xience, let's get some real women to advertise it. Take a page from Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and Trimspa! Those programs make tons of money because the people selling the items are beliveable. Nobody believes that a woman who slinks up and down a chair in the middle of an industrial warehouse, while covered in sweat, is drinking Xience. But when we see Liddell runing up and down a mountain we believe it...
Sorry, that I got a bit off topic but to me it's all connected...UFC is losing it's uniqeness and integrity because it's loosing it's premiere fighters. It's losing it's premier fighters because it's not making enough money to pay them what they are worth. They are not making enough money to pay the quality fighters because they are not doing good business. They are not doing good business because they are alienating the people who control the income of 80% of the homes in the US.

You young lady need to learn about marketing and demographics.
Spike TV as well as the UFC's demographics are males 18 - 35; secondary being males 35 - 55.
Women may controll the income in 80% of the homes in the US, but quite frankly they arnt watching the UFC, TUF, or anything else on Spike aside from maybe CSI.
Just because you are the exception, does not make you the rule.
Personaly I feel your entire argument is uneducated and bias.
