grappler to strike without question, b/c everyone already has some knowledge to throw a punch while their aren't too many strikers who can grapple. grappler's often become excellent strikers in mma b/c they don't have to fear the takedown. btw my post is referring to the "better" in your title even though when i wrote this I was really talking about which is easier to train. I totally prefer a sprawl and brawl for some reason. not that i have anything against grappling.
