Joe "Diesel" Riggs comes from American slang for muscular. When a guy is real muscular you call them diesel. Since he used to be a 300+lb football player, his new physique is "diesel".

Chris Leben goes by the nickname of the Crippler now. Refers to the WWE wrestler Chris Benoit and his ability to cripple the competition.
