I have a friend who just loved Vitor.

The guy is a brawler-type of guy, so I can see why he enjoyed Vitor's explosive demolitions (hell, who didn't) of his early opponents.

But you're right, he still tries to hold on to the Vitor love, because Vitor was the young up and coming guy in the sport, who you just figured would keep getting better and better until he was "the greatest ever".

His wins stand out, his losses are forgettable.

So why is the bandwagon still going? Because of the emotional power of those early wins, no doubt about it.
