P.S. Silva calling out Liddel does not count cause before Silva came out with his challenge Liddel had been asking for this fight for the past 3 years or so

small dogs barking at big dogs says it best.
The fact is the talent pool in Pride is much greater than the UFC. Not to say UFC doesn't have some very talented people. But Pride obviously has a greater depth of talent and also houses a few of the no. 1 world ranked fighters. UFC fighters see them as the top of the ladder, and want to prove themselves against the reckognized best in the world. Because the fact is, even if chuck liddell is the 205lb UFC heavyweight champ. Most true MMA fans recognize not him, but a guy like wandy as the best at that weight. And that's the case with many others.
The fact that Pride has more talented fighters than the UFC is the reason for the skewing of more UFC fighters calling out pride fighters than vice versa.
If the UFC got a few of the no.1 ranked fighters on their side, i'm sure we'd see some Pride champions calling them out.
