Yeah you can argue that the TUF is a potential entry into the mainstream but if so, why pick SPIKE TV? FOrmally The National Network formally The NAshville Network(Yeehaw). It reeks of sideshow. MMA deserves better.

Probably because Spike was the only network that wanted them. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp. And Pride doesn't pay that much more than UFC. Only the big Japanese stars get the big paychecks. Wanderlei and guys like that get what Chuck gets or close to it.
