Screw going to college. The only reason you need to go to college is if you're going to pursue in a career where you need a college degree (teacher, doctor, fighter pilot, etc).
Go to
www.rockwellinstitute.com and sign up for the real estate priniciples and license package for $295. When you get your materials, go to the Dept of Real Estate at
www.dre.ca.gov, and sign up for your license about 8 weeks out. That will give you enough time to really study up, etc. If you're a good test taker and/or motivated sign up for your test 4-6 weeks out. You'll pass.
Get your license and sell just one $500,000 house at 3% commission and get a check for $15,000. Then sell another. Then another.
You could already have one sale before you even figure out how you're going to pay for college. Not only that, you'll be in the game and earning a living for 4 years before all of your class mates get out of college and say "now wtf do I do?"
