What? I don't understand your post. First you come off as implying that the only way to get into shape by cycling is to do something above and beyond the norm, then you say that a spin class tore you up?
You think a spin class is harder than a workout on the road? I've had sessions on my road bike that utterly destroyed me for days...
You don't need hills either. All you need is your balls and some water...
If you have to have hills in order to push yourself, you're already two steps behind man...
But nothing is better than running in my opinion.
However, running and cycling are always equated in the same light, but it's two completely different sports. Completely different in everything...
