Media Khamzat's fraudulent wrestling record exposed

For everyone who has seen him compete, I don’t think the thing is about his wrestling skills or lack of them, or if he was good GR or FS, or what level wrestling was at that time in Sweden in those disciplines or if he was national team level or whatever people here are trying to argue. It’s more that he already lacked sportsmanship at that age, was a very sore loser and a dirty player and that seems to not have changed at all.
Ehh I don't care about sportsmanship, if anything it shows how bad he hates to lose, which is good. Sometimes when guys seem to be humble and sportsmanship they lose the fire that makes them want to come back better. This is a younger Khamzat and he's obviously going to be more immature than a 30 year old.

Most people who have competed or compete themselves care about such things and do find it as a lack of respect and bad behavior. His former gym in Sweden has been banned from some events, for poor behavior. So he did fit well in there with his history and immaturity.😂

But I respect your opinion and understand that most mma fans probably don’t care a shit about how the fighters represent themselves or their team.

For me personally I've been humble in the few competitions I've been in BJJ, but also I guess I dgaf about everyone having the same mentality as myself, what matters is the results. I just want to see the best win whether they are the most polite man in the room or an absolute barbarian. I don't agree with cheating inside the moments of competition, but if you're an ass before or after that's fair game.

To his defense, these matches where against very high level and accomplished greco roman wrestlers, Zakarias Berg is a 2016 olympic wrestler, he was only 19-20 years old in his match with Khamzat so I think this match took place at the nationals the year before. Kristofer Johansson were another high level greco roman wrestler, placed 5th at worlds in 2014. I know he lost a bunch of greco matches, but that was not his forte.

These losses if anything remind why we likr Khamzat so much. The sheer determination to win , and even doing crazy shit cartwheels and the intense handfighting , anything to get a slight advantage even for a second , is dope

The guy is actually pretty awesome at wrestling as evidenced by .....his wrestling
Yeah but he allegedly lost, so he was never that good and is a can and anyone he beats is also a can etc etc etc

Am I doing this right, haters?

He unfortunately needs more fights so he can get seasoned and calm himself in firefights

Yes, that's his main weakness. Not having the best striking is not a problem, as long as he can stay cool and fight smart.

The first video is a freestyle match

Dude is shooting for the legs
Where, exactly does that happen? Give me some exact timestamps, because you're completely full of shit.

They're practically standing on each other's toes. They're not defending their legs, at all. Any "shooting" they are doing is trying to get in for a clinch around the waist. There is zero engagement with the legs.

Both guys he lost to has competed internationally. They aren't world champs but were no chumps for sure, great greco wrestlers. They would beat Nickal the same, in greco. So respect to Khamzat for competing in greco.
However, when people say Khamzat is a swedish champion in freestyle wrestling like it's a good thing.. It's a useless measuring stick, like there has never been a good swedish freestyle wrestler.
What is clear is that he is a great wrestler in MMA! But talking about the olympics in wrestling, my good chill😂
And Jon Jones only wrestled JuCo. And Colby Covington placed 5th at DI NCAA, at his best.

People get lauded for their wrestling chops for a LOT less than than Khamzat being undefeated in Sweden as a freestyle wrestler.

Thats why you have so many post fights in Russia, its like 99% guys from this cultural background who just cant handle losses and then freak out afterwards. Especially if they lose against somebody from a different cultural background. Just look it up, youtube is full of such suckerpunches etc.
This is seriously becoming an epidemic. Thats all I see is pre and post fight brawls. Brawls at the weigh ins brawls at the face offs. I guess it does get alot of hits but goddamn man, those arent the things you wanna be known for.

It is often claimed that Khamzat was undefeated on the Swedish regional circuit but here are two of his losses to regional level Euro wrestlers. He goes by the last name "Girikhanov" here as that was his mother's last name and didn't want to stain his record under the "Chimaev" name.

Above is the most embarrassing loss as he gets destroyed 9-2 and has a temper tantrum afterwards and refuses to shake the opponent's hand.

Bo Nickal pins this dude in 2 mins max

And GSP got submitted by santos in 5 seconds, would that mean anything in MMA

It matters because people talk about him like he would've been an Olympic level wrestler if not for his visa issues. Take a hike

After seeing Olympic champions like Romero and Cejudo dominated by less pedigreed wrestlers, pure wrestling isn't very meaningful in the context of MMA.

Khamzat has adapted his wrestling very well to MMA which is all that matters. He also added m a good submission game and respectable standup. His only real Achilles heel is lack of cardio.

Two things -

First of all, is that really him? I get that there's his mother's last name, but that's not the same first name, either.

And if that actually is him....

It is claimed that he's undefeated in open FREESTYLE WRESTLING in Sweden.

Those videos are Greco-Roman.
+1
2010 date, not suprised you see reality Braddah

I’m a pretty decent khamzat hater but to suggest his wrestling is fraud is a beyond terrible take. Maybe not the greatest wrestler but he is above average.

Amateur fights

He fought this guy as an amateur, after this, they both went pro, had numerous pro fights then for some reason fought again in an Amateur bout
The event probably wasn't labeled an exhibition event, but their fight was an exhibition fight and they recieved no money for the fight. So the fight usually gets recorded as an AM fight for commission records purposes in the states.. assuming it's like so overseas over the past decade.

Who cares if it isn't actually an Olympic level wrestler? We just saw Olympic wrestler Cejudo get outgrappled in MMA. We saw Mark O. Madsen and Yoel Romero not be able to grapple for shit in MMA. This is MMA, and Khamzat is fucking great at MMA grappling.

What a punk. That's the most bothersome part. More so than his wrestling skills getting exposed
